lasaddhemakāye taḍitbhāsakeśe
navāmbhojavaktre sphuradratnakarṇe|

sabālārkabhāse sabālenduśīte
sakhaḍgādiśastre sacakrādi-astre|
savastre savakrālake sarvaśuddhe

jvaladdhastapadmā jvalatpādayugmā
jvalatsūryanetre jvaladbhālakṣetre|
jvaladvahnivaste jvalajjāmbuśastre

acintye avandye agamye avadhye
aruddhe abaddhe anāsaktaśuddhe|
alabhye avṛddhe akhaṇḍaikabuddhe

sphurantī lasantī gayākṣetradevī
bhavākāradātrī bhavasyaikadhātrī|
sadā nārikelaḿ sphuṭantī pibantī

bhavānī bhavāraṇyadevī śivānī
mahādhenuyānī sadāśubhravāṇī|
bhavāśańkahīnā sadācāralīnā

payojāsanā padmagandhā prasannā
mahāvijñavṛndastutā devamātā|
gaṇeśastutā ṣaṇmukhastavyamānā

trikāle triloke trividye carantī
sadā sarvalokaḿ bhavaḿ tāḍayantī|
sṛjantī lasantī ca visphoṭayantī
śivā mańgalā nirmalā māḿ prasīda ||8
svarājñī svaprājñī svatantrā svamantrā
svaśaktā svabhaktā bhavātańkamuktā|
svasiddhā svaśuddhā svabhaktaikabaddhā

navālokadātrī navāhāradhātrī
navāmbhojanetrā bhavātītakṣetrā|
nirātańkarājñī nirāśańkaprājñī

prajājvalyamānā sadā bhūṣitāńgī
priyāńgī girīśādhināthābjabhṛńgī|
sudhādugdhadhārādadā dhenusańgī

surālokaśaktiḥ sadābhaktamuktiḥ
girā preṣitoktī ramajjīvabhuktiḥ|
svabhaktasthabhaktiḥ svabhāvānuraktiḥ

śrutijñānavijñā prajāvargayajñā
vicārāśritājñā guṇātītaprajñā|
bhavadbhavyabrahmāṇḍaśāstreṇa vijñā
śivā mańgalā nirmalā māḿ prasīda ||13
vibhā viśvabhā viśvavandyābjapādā
sudhā saumyarūpā satī satyadevī|
kṣudhā kṣobhakartrī kṣamā kṣobhahartrī
śivā mańgalā nirmalā māḿ prasīda ||14
prabhā premagamyā vibhā viśvavandyā
kalā kokilā kevalā kālavandyā|
dayā durgamā duṣkṛtā durgamāńgī
śivā mańgalā nirmalā māḿ prasīda ||15
namaste śaraṇye sadā śrībhavāni
namaste gayāgarbharājacchivāni|
trilokollasantī trilokodbhavantī

Mangalāgaurīstuti¹

O Mother Śivā, Who is known as Mańgalāgaurī, Who has a shining-ice like complexion, Who has hairs with the gleam of lightening, Who has a new lotus-like face, Who has shining gems in Her ears, Who has a mild smile on Her lotus-like lips, and Who has eyes filled with tears of love (for child)! Be happy on me.||1||
O Mother Śivā, Who is known as Mańgalāgaurī, Who has a gleam like the baby Sun, Whose appearance has coldness of baby Moon, Who has Khaḍga and other hand-weapons, Who has Cakra and other throw-weapons, Who has clothes, Who has curly-tresses, and Who is completely pure! Be happy on me.||2||
O Mother Śivā, Who is known as Mańgalāgaurī, Who has blazing lotus-like hand, Who has blazing dual-feet, Who has blazing Sun-like eyes, Who has blazing forehead region, Who has blazing fire-like dress, and Who has blazing gold-like weapons! Be happy on me.||3||
O Mother Śivā, Who is known as Mańgalāgaurī, Who is beyond the scope of thoughts, Who cannot be eulogized completely, Who cannot be reached, Who cannot be slayed, Who cannot be stopped, Who cannot be tied, Who is beyond any attachment and pure, Who is never attained, Who never grows old, and Who is complete and the only wise! Be happy on me.||4||
May Śivā — Who is gleaming and shining, Who is the Goddess in the Gayā-region, Who gives a shape to this universe, Who is the only Nourisher of this universe, Who is always shattering and drinking coconut-water², Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||5||
May Śivā — Who is Bhavānī, Who is the Goddess of the forest-like universe, Who is Śivānī, Who has a great bull as a vehicle, Who possesses auspicious speech, Who is without the doubts of the mundane universe, Who is always virtuous, Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||6||
May Śivā — Who has a seat of lotus, Who is fragrant like the lotus, Who is happy, Who is eulogized by great wise men, Who is Devamātā, Who is eulogized by Gaṇeśa, Who is worthy of eulogy from Ṣaṇmukha (Kārtikeya), Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||7||
May Śivā — Who roams in the three times, the three worlds and the three knowledge, Who is destroying the universal existence, Who is creating, shining forth and exploding the mundane universe, Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||8||
May Śivā — Who rules by Herself, Who is learned by Herself, Who is free, Who is Her own mantra, Who is strong by Herself, Who is Her own devotee, Who is free from the terror of the mundane universe, Who is siddha by Herself, Who is pure by Herself, Who is tied only to Her devotees, Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||9||
May Śivā — Who gives new light to us, Who gives new meal to us like a nourishing-mother, Who has new lotus-like eyes, Who resides in a region beyond the mundane universe, Who is the terrorless ruler, Who is the doubtless scholar, Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||10||
May Śivā — Who possesses immense light, Who is adorned on the body, Who has a beautiful body, Who is like the bumble-bee for the lotus-like Lord of Girīśa (Śiva), Who bestows nectarine milk (to Her child), Who is associated with a cow, Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||11||
May Śivā — Who is the power behind the permanence of demi-gods, Who is the liberation for the devotees, Who is the voice spoken by the tongue, Who is the pleasure of the enjoying manifestations, Who is the devotion situated inside the devotee, Who is the inherent nature of a manifestation, Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||12||
May Śivā — Who has is learned in śruti and knowledge, Who is the yajña or sacrifice of people, Who is unknown to the people dependent on thoughts, Who is the knowledge beyond the qualities, Who is beyond the treatises put forth by the ever evolving universe, Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||13||
May Śivā — Who is resplendence, Who is resplendence of the world, Whose lotus-feet is adored by the world, Who is like nectar, Who is serene, Who is Satī, Who is the Goddess of truth, Who is hunger, Who causes agitation, Who is forgiveness, Who absolves agitation, Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||14||
May Śivā — Who is beautiful appearance, Who can be reached by [devotional] love, Who is resplendence, Who is praiseworthy of the world, Who is art, Who has a sweet cuckoo-like voice, Who is the final resort, Who is praiseworthy for Kāla, Who is mercy, Who is hard to achieve, Who finished difficult tasks, Who has tough organs, Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||15||
Perpetual salutes to You, O Śrībhavānī, Who is the final refuge, Who is Śivānī, and Who is residing inside the soil of Gayā! May Śivā — Who is shining forth the three worlds, Who is giving rise to the three worlds, Who is Mańgalāgaurī, and Who is spotless — be happy on me.||16||

¹Goddess Śakti or Satī is known as Mangalāgaurī in the Śaktipīṭha of Gayā.
²A sacrifice of coconut is a common practice in the temples of Śakti. This line signifies Mother Śakti as drinking that coconut-water.
