Shravana nakshtra and the puranic story.

Understanding Shravana nakshatra.

Demon King Bali had conquered the three worlds  the devtas were no match for this powerful Asur king so they requested Lord Vishnu to help them out .Lord vishnu disguised himself as Vamana small brahmin boy and approached King Bali while he was performing a yagna ,he asked King Bali for three steps of land ,the demon king readily agreed for this but the demon guru shukracharya saw through the design of Lord Vishnu, therefore he tried to dissuade King Bali but could not make him to agree so he blocked the spout of water vessel of King Bali, Vaman the vishnu avataar  took out a sharp blade of grass to clear the obstruction.  As he poked towards the pot's spout, the blade of the grass destroyed one of Shukracharya's eyes, and this is the reason why Shukracharya is seen to have one eye ever since.

With the obstacle successfully removed and the ritual over, it was time for the Vaman  to take his 3 strides worth of land. But suddenly, the vaman boy's size started to increase in size until  no one could  see his head anymore.  In one stride, he took both the netherworld/hell and the earth, and in the 2nd stride, he took heaven. Then Vaman avataar of  Vishnu Ji turned around towards Bali and asked "Now where do I put my 3rd foot?" Bali  offered  his own head for the vaman jis third stride.

At this Bali was immediately transported into the lowest among the 14 lokas.  And Vishnu ji  had now restored the earth to humans and the heavens to the gods.  Lord  Vishnu very pleased with Bali's magnanimity, so he decided to confer upon him the status - of doorkeeper of "the outer-most universe.

This story,  reveals  the nature , functioning and quality of Shravana nakshatra.  Vishnu in his Vamana form as the brahmin boy relates to the amiable and innocent front projected by this nakshatra. The natives of this  nakshatra are  clever in achieving their  goals and are  very good in execution skills in  same way as Vishnu.

Shravana borns are known to be  very good executors.
On the astrological front,  Venus/Sukracharya doesn't like to be placed in this nakshatra due to being blinded in one eye by vaman ji ,the natives of this nakshtra also become susceptible  to eye injuries and ailments if venus is in any way connected to this nakshatra.

AstroSage had asked you an astrological question in its fourteenth quiz. As per the provided birth chart, the question asked was: From around 2007, the native is not well because of some disease. What do you think the disease could be? Explain with astrological reasons.
Right answer is Option (C) - Some sexual problem
Many contestants gave right answer, but 6 of them gave the right explanation. Their names are: Nikhil Saini, Jatinder Sandhu, Kirtun Kumar Nehenny, Lalit Sharma, Jatinder Modi, CS Yadav, Rasagna and Anita Sharma. .

My Answer----

Dear concerned.

The answer as per me is
  • (C) Some sexual problem
The astrological reasoning behind this is as following.
1. 6th /12 th axis is Aries/libra- 6th/ascendant  lord mars is in Libra indicating generative and reproductive organs in females including kidneys etc,the lord of the 12th and 7th venus is combust and in star of ketu.
2.MD lord ketu and 1st/6th lord mars is conjunct in 12th and in star of rahu swati indicating the disturbance in matters of sexual/generative organs.
3.Lagna is hemmed between malefic s( Paap Kartaari) while lagna lord goes to house of loss indicating weak health system and loss of health.
4.6th and 8th lord both conjunct/ under heavy malefic influence again pointing to female sexual disorders.
5. A  relation among Ascendant and/or its lord, fourth, sixth, seventh and eighth houses and/or their lords as also Moon and Venus afflicted by malefics like Mars, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu or Sun may result in female diseases. Venus also signifies the ovary of the female body as also the genetic organ which is also signified by the seventh house and its lord as well as the sign Libra.
Lord of 4th is in ascendent conjunct 8th lord  and sign scorpio ruled by sixth lord mars which is conjunct ketu the Md lord while venus lord of 7th is in star of ketu and combust ,more so sixth lord and ketu are in sign libra owned by venus .
6.Saturn in scorpio conjuct the 8th lord mercury is again a pointer towards genital/sexual disease/disorder.

Saturn Deciphered along with possible conjunctions/yutis with different planets.

Saturn explained along with different conjunctions.

Saturn in the Natal Chart
The condition of Saturn in the natal chart is of immense importance: Shani (Saturn) is the planet of stability, practicality, endurance, and is the planet that governs the concept of time and one’s relationship to it.17 As the planet of time,it governs dinacharya or daily routine. Understanding how stable this planet is in a natal chart gives valuable information about how natural it might be for a client to embrace any prescribed daily recommendations, what degree of adjustment in any personal routine is realistic and practical, and whether the person may be easily vulnerable to the extremes of rigidity or negligence. A primary factor of a planet’s stability lies in its ‘dignity’, or its relationship with the sign in which it sits. The following passage illustrates Saturn’s potentials when in stable or afflicted placement:“….When Shani is beneficially disposed, during his period the native becomes prosperous. He has good intelligence and performs sacrifices and rituals. He acquires lands and becomes the head of a village or a town. He becomes a good tradesman. He is successful in a variety of activities and is always full of enthusiasm. If Shani becomes a malefic, during his period one has prisoning (sic), loss of wealth, physical and other aliments and anger of the ruler. He indulges in forbidden activities, is crippled and suffers from diseases. Uttara Kalamrita, stanza 6-shloka 12.18
As a planet that generally signifies disease (especially that which is chronic or incurable), longevity and obstacles  (the life experiences that teach maturity), judiciously assessing Saturn in a birth chart gives very important information about health, strengths and the karmas or actions necessary to experience in one’s lifetime.

Saturn
Saturn is the planet of obstruction, crystallization and atrophy.By his action the circulation or passage of bodily fluids, such as the blood, lymph, or urine, is impeded, and by this stagnation waste materials are retained instead of being eliminated. Thus they form various deposits in the body, building the skeleton, which
is constructive, hardening the arteries and articulations, which is destructive. Saturn rules the gall bladder, where he forms the painful gallstones, and by virtue of his exaltation power in Libra he crystallizes the renal stones and gravel which cause such suffering to those who have these concretions. By retention of
the urea he causes the painful rheumatism and gout which often manifest in deformity of the joints that so often disfigures and disables the sufferers there from. He rules the pneumogastric nerve, and by his restrictive action through that medium he may at any moment slow down the heart action, stop digestion, suppress the
urine and stool under the emotions of fear and worry generated by him. Thus he has the power to bring every bodily function to a standstill.
Saturn also rules the teeth and the skin. By his action the teeth decay, leading to malnutrition, the synovial membranes are hardened, making the spine and limbs rigid; he makes the skin tough as the years go by. Saturn is at home in Capricorn, and by his reflex action in Cancer he interferes with the peristaltic action which is necessary in the digestion of food; he then causes antiperistalsis, or vomiting. His general activities in the body are destructive and tend to end the life of the organism.Saturn generally hurts by falls, bruises, and colds. He  predisposes to chronic and deep-seated ailments, and his victims are difficult to reach because he imbues them with fear, worry, and pessimism, so that they refuse to believe in the possibility of a cure and cannot be induced to take a cheerful look on life. The presence of Saturn in any part of the horoscope constitutes an affliction in itself, therefore we may note the following effects in the twelve signs, whether he is aspected by squares, oppositions, trines or sextiles, but naturally his effects are somewhat more inimical when in evil aspect.
